Continuing our tradition of unforgettable experiences, VMworld Fest is back with another helping of fabulous food and incredible music. In 2019, we are on home turf in San Francisco, bringing a block party extravaganza fitting of such a homecoming. An energized and dynamic Civic Center Plaza serves as our backdrop for the evening. Ready for it? Let's go!
Strut down Grove Street – the main street of the party – which will feature a bevy of food trucks from SF favorites like Bi-Rite Creamery and Johnny's Doughnuts. Feeling more salty than sweet? Check out "animal-style" sliders and poke nachos. We'll have something for everyone. Now that you are satiated, it's time to dance your way into the night. Join us inside the iconic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium for a steady serving of show-stopping entertainers. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
VMworld Fest is excited to offer attendees an amazing lineup of musical talent, headlined by OneRepublic.
OneRepublic is a Grammy Award-nominated rock band from Colorado who has been topping the charts since 2007, when their debut single “Apologize” became one of the biggest radio airplay hits in the history of Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart. Since that time, the quintet has released several more albums, which have included smash hits such as “Good Life” and “Counting Stars”, and toured the world playing to sold-out crowds. OneRepublic and lead singer/songwriter Ryan Tedder draw major musical inspiration from each place they visit – making them a singularly global rock band. Their latest single “Rescue Me” was released in May, and their fifth studio album is on the way.
Billy Idol was an early architect of the sound, style, and fury of punk rock. His lip-curling sneer and fist-pumping persona vaulted him into the mainstream as one of MTV’s first megastars, making him one of the most recognizable faces in pop music, while selling out arenas everywhere he played. He has sold 40 million albums while scoring numerous platinum albums worldwide, nine top forty singles in the US and 10 in the UK, including “Dancing With Myself,” “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Mony Mony,” “Eyes Without A Face,” “Flesh For Fantasy,” and “Cradle Of Love.”
Bay Area born DJ Umami splashed into the local music scene in 2009. She’s gained residencies at night clubs and touring parties, became a rotating DJ for the Golden State Warriors, played for thousands of marathon runners at starting lines, and earned a weekly timeslot on the Bay Area’s throwback radio station Q102.1 FM. In addition to bringing joy to those on the dance floor in front of her, her objective is to leave a stamp in the rapidly growing hip-hop and R&B culture and hopes to inspire and empower other women.
VMworld Fest will be held at Civic Center Plaza and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Wednesday, August 28, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Free shuttle service will be provided between the Moscone Center and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium from 6:45 PM to 10:30 PM on a loop.
