What about Partner Exchange @ VMworld?
Our previous Partner Exchange @ VMworld program is being replaced by a new, standalone partner event called VMware EMPOWER. EMPOWER, held each spring in the US, EMEA, and APJ regions, provides in-depth technical content and training with a key focus on the VMware certifications and accreditations needed to successfully design and deploy VMware solutions.
VMworld is still the place to go with your customers for several days of in-depth learning, networking, and connecting with a broad range of VMware executives and experts.

The partner general session will take place on Monday 5 November from 16:00 to 17:30.

Sessions take place on Monday 5 November, from 14:00 – 16:00 as well as on Thursday 8 November, from 10:30 – 12:30.

Chief Executive Officer, VMware
Pat Gelsinger has been serving as CEO of VMware since September 2012, nearly doubling the size of the company during his tenure. He brings more than 35 years of technology and leadership experience.
Before joining VMware, Gelsinger led EMC's Information Infrastructure Products business as president and COO. A respected IT industry veteran, he was at Intel for 30 years becoming the company’s first CTO and driving the creation of key industry technologies including USB and Wi-Fi. He led Intel to be the dominant supplier of the microprocessor – while in the significant role as the architect of the original 80486 processor.

Senior Vice President, Worldwide Commercial and Channel Sales, VMware
Brandon Sweeney joined VMware in 2004 and is responsible for the Worldwide Partner, Inside Sales and Commercial Sales organizations. He is also responsible for building and leading VMware’s Dell EMC Synergy Acceleration Team. Previously, Sweeney was responsible for the North America Commercial Sales, Inside Sales, and Americas Partner organizations. Sweeney began his career at VMware leading the Asia Pacific/Japanese OEM and HP Global Alliance organizations.
Before joining VMware, Sweeney held executive and sales management roles at Click Commerce, Morgan Stanley, and IBM. Sweeney holds a BA in Government/Economics from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, with concentrations in Marketing and Finance.
