Chief Executive Officer, VMware
Pat Gelsinger has been serving as CEO of VMware since September 2012, nearly doubling the size of the company during his tenure. He brings more than 35 years of technology and leadership experience.
Before joining VMware, Gelsinger led EMC's Information Infrastructure Products business as president and COO. A respected IT industry veteran, he was at Intel for 30 years becoming the company’s first CTO and driving the creation of key industry technologies including USB and Wi-Fi. He led Intel to be the dominant supplier of the microprocessor – while in the significant role as the architect of the original 80486 processor.

Sanjay Poonen joined VMware in August 2013, and is responsible for worldwide sales, services, alliances, marketing and communications.
Previously, Poonen held the role of executive vice president and general manager for the End-User Computing business unit at VMware. In this role, he was responsible for strategy, products, engineering, marketing and sales across all of VMware's End-User Computing offerings.

Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, VMware
Ray O’Farrell joined VMware in April 2003 and currently serves as executive vice president and chief technology officer. His role includes responsibility for VMware’s Global Services and Customer Advocacy, giving O’Farrell purview over VMware’s entire customer product experience.
Prior to this role, O’Farrell co-led the Software-Defined Data Center Division comprising the vSphere, networking, management and storage businesses and was responsible for the division’s strategy, business and product planning and engineering execution.

Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Robin Matlock joined VMware in July 2009 and serves as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Bringing more than 25 years of marketing experience in the enterprise software and services sector, Matlock is playing a leadership role in positioning VMware as a market leader in Mobile Cloud. As CMO, Matlock is a key member of VMware’s Executive Leadership team responsible for leading all aspects of the Global Marketing organization, which includes Corporate Marketing, Partner, Segment and Field Marketing.
Prior to joining VMware in 2009, Matlock ran marketing and oversaw business development at Imperva in her role as executive vice president and general manager. She has also successfully led go-to-market teams for McAfee, Entercept and Symantec.
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
Jean-Pierre Brulard joined VMware in 2009 and has responsibility for strategic planning, business operations, go-to-market strategy, and management of VMware’s business in EMEA.
Prior to this role, Brulard was the vice president for VMware’s Southern Region, EMEA, responsible for driving business growth and expansion and supporting sales, marketing, and channel operations across VMware’s business in France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, South Africa and the Middle East.
Brulard has more than 25 years experience in working with some of the largest technology companies in the world including IBM, Sun Microsystems and Unisys. Brulard spent seven years at Business Objects, rising from general manager for France to senior vice president and general manager EMEA. He was also a member of the Business Objects Worldwide executive committee. Brulard left Business Objects having successfully overseen the acquisition by SAP in Europe. A Paris-France native, Brulard is now resident in the UK. Brulard holds a master’s in business studies from the Sup de Co Le Havre.
