VMware's Application Management Platform - Enable Any App Any Where... Collaboratively!

Session Abstract:

In this session we walk through VMware's overall application management strategy leveraging the cloud operating model and enabling devOps model through capabilities of our application management products - vFabric Application Director and Application Performance Manager. We will talk about operational challenges of today and how cloud and devOps is transforming the application provisioning, monitoring and maintenance processes. Next we look at capabilities of VMware Products that enable management of apps in this new era of private and public clouds through a unique model driven approach combined with the flexibility of workflows. How does all of it apply to next generation of applications that are built on new application frameworks and leveraging hadoop infrastructure as we see Blueprints for different kind of apps. We will also talk about vFabric Application Director product features that enable your journey to PAAS, accepting today's enterprise challenges and aiming at curating apps to get them PAAS-ready. We understand many apps do not fit into the PAAS model and choices available for running apps on IAAS platform is increasing, so lets also go through features that provide you the flexibility of moving your app to different platforms depending on application and business needs. Bringing it all together, lets look at application management from VMware's point of view - a unique set of products that enable you towards achieving higher agility and efficiency leveraging various cloud constructs.
