An Introduction to VMware vCenter Orchestrator

Session Abstract:

Designed to provide drag and drop automation and orchestration in the virtual world, VMware vCenter Orchestrator will be a new infrastructure management offering from VMware in 2009.
Orchestrator will have three specific focus areas that will be applicable to a wide variety of VMware users. First, Orchestrator will provide value through the delivery of out of the box workflows that VI admins can use to automate tasks in their day to day VMware operations. Second, vCenter Orchestrator will provide all the key buidling blocks to create automation for any of the over 800 tasks within vCenter Server. Finally, developers and more advanced VMware environments will be able to use Orchestrator's enhanced customization capabilities for creating sophisitcated process automation and orchestration between applications (including 3rd parties).
The VMware product team will provide key product information about Orchestrator, share specific customer use cases, and show how Orchestrator is the centralized engine that powers other VMware applications such as vCenter Lifecycle Manager.
This session will also include a product demonstration.
