Session Abstract:

This session will focus on best practices for managing VMware ESXi hosts within the data center and will provide examples of how actual customers use off-the shelf management platforms or write their own scripts for VMware ESXi management automation.

Speaker 1:

Amir Sharif is a Senior Product Manager at VMware, focusing on the VMware ESXi development and integration into partner server platforms. Prior to joining VMware, Mr. Sharif held product management and development positions at Cisco (Topspin), Nortel (Tasman Networks), and Sun Microsystems. Mr. Sharif has an MBA from UC Berkeley where he was a Mayfield Fellow, a Hitachi RFID Mu Chip Fellow, and a Gloria Appel Entrepreneurial Fellow.

Speaker 2:

Dilpreet Bindra is a R&D Manager at VMware, focusing on the VMkernel core development specifically with regards to RAS technologies. Mr. Bindra has also managed special OEM programs to deliver hardware manageability to ESXi. Prior to joining VMware, Mr. Bindra held kernel development positions at Sun Microsystems and Hewlett Packard. Mr. Bindra has a BEE from SUNY Stony Brook.
