Windows Active Directory plays an important role in today's IT environment. In this session, learn how to successfully implement Windows Active Directory in the VMware Infrastructure 3 environment.
Topics covered in this session include: guidelines for clock synchronization; effective use of security roles; placement of the critical Flexible Single Master Operations (FSMO) roles and global catalog servers; backup techniques and disaster recovery options to minimize loss and downtime; successfully transitioning from a physical to a virtualized infrastructure; managing network policies including DNS configurations

Speaker 1:

Chris Skinner is a Technical Trainer for VMware, Inc. His background was largely spent consulting, implementing and training on Microsoft's Backoffice operating systems and applications. Before joining VMware, he spent eight years working as an Independent Consultant and Contractor for many Fortune 1000 companies on their software network infrastructure solutions. Chris earned his Bachelor's in Business Management and holds an Executive Master's of Business Administration. Chris has been Microsoft Certified since 1993 and currently holds his MCSE certification.
