In tha last few hours, a bug was discovered on ESX/ESXi 3.5U2. It seems that someone forgot to perform a QA on a production release or a very poorly screening was performed.

It looks like the expiration date from the beta version was left active on the production releases posted at the VMware download web site.

While a workaround has been idnetified (not thanks to VMware), it is pathetic that VMware has not posted any advisory or warning at their web site regarding this problem.

Similarly, VMware has failed to notified customers worldwide about this problem as well as what it is being done to resolve the problem and advert this from happening again in the future.

I wonder if VMware will even mention this problem during the conference and how poorly it has been handled, keeping customers in the dark on what is being done.
