CPU Ready is going high


One VM with Win2k3 with IIS always hung and i found that CPU ready utilization is going high. Previously that VM configured with 4 CPU then I removed 2 CPU , its work fine for hour and again CPU Ready utilization is going high (more than 20%). Please suggest me for solution.

You can start by increasing CPU shares on this VM. By doing so, you are increasing the percentage of CPU resources you are giving this VM. Keep in mind, this will also decrease the percentage of CPU resources given to other VMs in the Resource Pool or on the same host, so you'll want to monitor the other guest's closely at the same time to be sure you don't increase the CPU Ready time for the other guests.

I reduced the number of CPU from (4 to 1 & 2 to 1) then CPU Ready graph goes down & also performance increased.
