p2v numbers

Hi

Can some one help me with real life figures on the maximum and minimum number of P2V's one can schedule a day assuming an average size of 100gb of data on a physical servers with a Gigabit network and Platespin or Converter as a tool & the P2V happening on a LAN.

Alot depends on the OS version, Amount of diskspace being migrated, etc. We found that doing our p2v's during the evening we were able to run 2-3 at a time. Usually we scheduled no more than 3-4 per person working the shift. Windows 2003 migrations are much easier and faster than Windows 2000, and make sure you run a defrag prior to the migration.
