Scheduled tasks on ESX-host

I am rather new here, so I am not sure if I should drop a question about ESX3.5 here.
I have been looking everywhere if I could find a way to schedule a reboot of an ESX host server. I only see schedules for Virtual Machines but none for a host machine.
I would think it could be found in a virtual appliance but i didn't find anything.
Perhaps anyone could give me a suggestion about this.

Re: Scheduled tasks on ESX-host

Unlike a windows server, ESX hosts a are quite stable, shceduled reboots are not needed. Are you seeing behavior that gets resolved via reboot? If so, I'd contact tech support and find out what is really going on.

Re: Scheduled tasks on ESX-host
if your taking down your whole ESX environment along with all your VMs i think someone will be around to handle the shutdown/restart.
