General Sessions - Download as files?

Streaming is blocked where I work. Can I download the General Sessions (videos and/or slides) as files?

I was able to get the breakout session slides. My question is specific to the General Session presentations, which are not included in the Content Catalog.

All the PDF's for all 280+ sessions, labs will be posted here. If the session is listed in the Sessions Zone here, the PDF will be posted over the next few weeks.

The general sessions unfortunately were not captured in the same manner, so it will take us longer to get downloadable content from those. We only have the video of the entire session, which means we have to convert the video into some type of downloadable file.

We could post them as movie files I suppose. I will look into it, but it will take a few weeks regardless.

That would be great. Please update this thread when you know how you plan to handle it. I am particularly interested in sharing John Chambers' presentation with some colleagues. Would that present any conflicts?

I believe you'll find the General Sessions are in the Public area, and therefore do not require a conference registration login/password to view. As such, there would be no conflict in your colleagues viewing them.

It would be good to be able to save a copy locally, as im on the panel, i'd like to be able to keep a copy

I would like to be able to download the hands on lab manuels as well as I am watching the content. I do not see it posted anywhere. I know it just came up, but following the hands on labs is boring waiting for 30 minutes without the book to follow along

. Then you can FF, but your missing a huge part of the lab. Any ETA when the content that goes along with the lab will be posted?

I am getting all the pdf's of all sessions and labs delivered to me tomorrow on CD. They will all
be posted by Monday, I hope, depending on how fast I can get them up on the site.

Sorry for the delay, it took some time for VMware to get them to me specifically.

Thanks for the feedback, it was always our intention to get them up.

Thanks for the quick response. That is cool you will have them up by Monday or soon. I find the hands on labs VERY informative even without the content....so I can only imagine how useful it will be with the content. I really like this site a lot. Thanks.

Nice! In a good and bad way I guess. Good for us all that information. Bad for you to upload it all. Nice if it was just one external drive or something of that nature. If I had to pick I would say the performance lab and security lab I would want to take priority....but that's just me
