Point Levels

The VMworld Online website has the ability to track points for
participation in Zones. We have developed levels for the number of
points you collect on the website. Users that have gained points will
have point icons next to their names in the membership list. The
following list shows the levels and the points needed to obtain that
level.

Candidate 0-5 Points: you are being considered for membership in our community

Apprentice 6-99 Points: you are new and must learn as much as you can

Accomplice 100 - 500 Points: you know enough to be dangerous with your friends

Mentor 500 - 999 Points: You are knowledgeable and those around you look up to you

Master 1000 - 9999 Points: You are wise and patient, others respect you

Immortal 10000 - * Points: You are beyond the level needed to survive for eternity

Why are points important

We will be adding capabilities onto the site which will allow you to do
things with the points you have accumulated. We are not yet ready to
announce what you can do with your points, but safe to assume they will
do more then allow you to see what level you are at.

Points will be used as currency for site transactions of various kinds,
you might, for example, be able to request a script, or pose a
technically hard question and post a bounty of points on a give item.
We expect you might also be able to ask an expert, and win points if
you stump them in a certain amount of time.

Participate, and keep your points, they will be useful, and enjoy achieving your level.
