Question about Hands on Lab signup VMWorld 12

  Hey,

I was looking at the schedule builder and I don't see any spot to sign up for the hands on labs?  Am I just missing it or is it a first come first serve sort of thing in the rooms?  Sorry this is my first VMWorld so not sure how it operates.. Thanks!

Labs are just show up and take them, no pre registration needed.

"There will be over 20 distinct labs available" - where / when do we find out what they are, what will be on the machines?

Re: Question about Hands on Lab signup VMWorld 12

There will be a lab on just about every product/technology VMware offers and then some. You just show up at the lab(lab is a misnomer, it's like Madison Square Garden) and take whatever lab you like. I don’t remember exactly how they set up the machines in the lab’s but if I remember you just sit down at a thin client, and select which lab you want to take and it connects you to the right infrastructure. It seems like there were two connections at each lab station, one with the step by step guide and one where you did hands on. It's very cool and professionally done.

BTW, I just noticed, this forum wants to auto correct the word, VMware. #EpicFail

Hi Scott - thanks for the reply! Do you remember if they release in advanced what product/technology will be on the machines?

Thanks again!

I don't remember a list being generated in advance but other than being able to frag your neighbor, most everything else will be covered. Vshpere, fusion, SRM, view, VCD, hearbeat, etc, etc, etc. Is their something specific you're looking for?
