Doesnt OpenFiler and other free virtual SANs have hundreds of thousands of downloads?

Jarett, you're right about your observation. We launched the SvSAN on February 24th and were pleasantly surprised with the amount of downloads that were generated. At the current rate, I also see us breaking into the hundreds of thousands range soon. The SvSAN is unique in a number of ways which I believe has strongly contributed to the download trends. For starters, the management console is built right into Vcenter making it easier to manage your storage as opposed to opening up multiple windows. The Vcenter integration is unique as is the fact that this isn't a 30 day download set to expire. The download of the SvSAN is truly free in that it is valid for an unlimited time.
