Just the other day we were wondering how to decommission some of our old SPARC based systems without sacraficing application compatibility.  For example we have a SPARC server that runs all our subversion source trees.

The Solaris subversion is buggy and doesn't give us the total feature set we want.  The packages on SPARC are just more stable, but yet we run ESX and want to virtualize the rest of our SPARC systems.
