Re: Comparisons of VMware Infrastructure 3.5, Microsoft Hyper-V and Xen
One thing to remember is that Hyper-V is still in beta, even though Server 2008 has been released. Many of the drivers that Microsoft is going to incorporate into the final Hyper-V product that allows access to the hardware haven't been written or released yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big VMware fan, just saying that performance tests on hyper-V now won't accurately predict the performance of the final released version of Hyper-V.
Re: Comparisons of VMware Infrastructure 3.5, Microsoft Hyper-V and Xen
Hi All,
Vmware ESX uses the Linux kernel to Fork (multple sessions),hence its depends upon the linux thin kernel to
initialize. However Xen 3.1 is developed entirely on the open source and is based on the para-Virtulaization.
Xen is higly suported by HP,IBM, and other big giants. Botton line is, vmware esx depends on linux code.where as
xen is born out of linux coding, hence it should be more efficent than vmware.
