Physical to Virtual

I have set up a new vSphere server and I want to create a virtual from a physical system.  The server is on one network, the server it is on has two network cards.  I want to move my email server which sits in my DMZ.  Can I set the 2nd nic on vmware server to the DMZ and virtualize the mail server?  I know there is a program that allows this but I was not sure if I can have two networks on the same machine.  Thank you

Re: Physical to Virtual
I would not P2V your email server.  There are a lot of considerations with email.  Pay attention to your IOP requirements and where you’re DB/logs reside.   I would do a clean fresh install on a new virtual OS and migrate your mailboxes over.  If you must do P2V Vranger has a solid P2V program and VMware has the convertor.

Yes, you can do this. As long as your ESX host has a NIC connected to the same network as your mail server. You can just use the VMWare standalone converter, which is a free download to accomplish this.
