Sounds very cool, heard about this though our Community, please count 2 in: Tom Rose and Chris Midgley.
Unidesk is still in stealth
So we won't talk product at the Thirsty Bear
We're not even a VMworld sponsor (this time)
But we've got lots of live Demos scheduled there
And while we're not yet launching our company
Which adds much-needed management around VDI
We are willing to buy a few rounds of drinks
If we let some Composite Virtualization secrets slip by
Alas this RSVP is a bit tardy
So when we get in, you may be gone
But if you want to meet us at VMworld
Just send email to trose at Unidesk dot com
Woo friggin HOO!!!

Re-cycling?
Hi Theron, Quick question -- suppose you manage to give out all the wristbands, everyone goes inside, straggles late posters , etc moan and groan -- and 90 minutes later -- people start leaving, going to see seals by the rocks, good fish restaurant, another bar, etc.
Is there any re-issuing to group 3 and beyond?
All the best,
LT
Theron and I have been thinking. Yes, hard to believe. I know. The VMworld 2009 Sunday Night Extravaganza needed a Mission Statement, and the VMworld Underground needed a motto. Hence:
"PUT THE CLOUD IN YOUR HEAD"
This year at VMworld, Whether you plan on learning more about Cloud Computing or "federating your private cloud with others", we feel this is an appropriate slogan on several levels.
We've made a t-shirt. Theron will raffle a few away at the Sunday night party, but you can get one for yourself at http://www.cafepress.com/vmetc.401858661# (if this link fails include the "#"). Under the slogan it says "VMworld 2009 warm up extravaganza" If you order for 6 or more you will receive an additional discount automatically when you purchase.
We are not making any profit on this shirt. Cafepress and the shipping company probably is, but hey, they make it easy to get one of these.
We hope to see a lot of you with "the cloud" in your head in San Francisco.

Jason E. Smith will be there!
I'll be there too, and I'll try to find some of the other geek looking people that have signed up too late for this queue so we can create our own alternate pub round party.

Not setting the expectation bar high, but I will be there.
there was a thirsty young lad from the noreast
who once tried to tame the vdi beast
chasing a virtualized dream so fair
he stopped in at the thirsty bear
and had a great time to say the least!
barring any unforseen airline delays
I'll be there!
Wow. Insane amounts of activity. I'm thrilled that everyone is getting ready to head to the Thirsty Bear! It's going to be a fun night. So, as a reminder, we're going to be at capacity.
h3. what about me? You said anyone could come!
Yes I did, and we'll probably use the same setup next year. Order of RSVP = order of priority in the door. Anyone can (and thanks to those who did!) RSVP. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the Thirsty Bear!
Next year we'll plan for more folks
(seriously! Where were all you people last year?! )
Seriously where were all these people last year? Even though we had a decent crowd of like 20-30 people last year doesn't compare to the 100's of posts on here. Too bad I thought I could just waltz in like I did last year for the fun night prior to VMworld Vegas '08. No automatic bids to those who attended last year?
Cant wait to see you there...
This reply is a bit salty and tardy, but I cant wait to party hardy!
