VMware Party information

Anyone knows where the party would be this year? What's included?

Looking forward...

Re: VMware Party information

Good question.  I'm sure it will get leaked out later.  But what's included will be fun, food, networking with peers, and free beer.  I'm looking forward to it again.  Last year was a blast at the Speedway!

Re: VMware Party information

Well, looks like we got our first bit of info on the 2009 VMware party yesterday!

According to an email received late yesterday afternoon, the party will be held at Yerba Buena gardens next door to the Moscone center.  Apparently there are numerous activities there to take advantage of.  The news flash email also mentions the signing of a legendary rock band, so that should be interesting to see what band shows up.

I'm excited!  VMworld 2007 in San Francisco was my first and the party thrown for us on Wednesday night at Treasure Island was AWESOME!  I'm glad that this years party is going to be close to my hotel, that way if I want to stumble, errrrrrrr, walk back to the hotel afterwards I can...

Re: VMware Party information

How about Metallica, they seem partial to the bay area... Now that would be good!

Perl Jam, Alice in Chains and Dave Mathews are all in town the week before. Hopefully it's someone cool!

Re: VMware Party information

I'd love to see any of those three!

Couldn't see it being Alice in Chains though, but Pearl Jam or Dave Matthews Band could fit.

Smash Mouth was pretty cool back in 2007.

Yes, the party on Wednesday night is open to all attendees.  As is the Welcome Reception on Monday night...

I just saw somewhere else on this site that Foreigner is going to be the guest band this year.. next door to Moscone at the Yerba Buena Gardens...

Anyone know how I can get a ticket for my wife, who is coming along this year (NOT an attendee, however)????
