Doing a lab project in our office using VSphere 4. We have 3 platforms setup with multiple physical NIC's, enough in fact to assign each of the VM's it's own physical interface. We've read through the manuals but aren't very clear on how exactly to set this up. The hosts are unable to ping each other, nor can they ping the gateway.
Two of the platforms are in a cluster format, while the 3rd is on it's own as it's simulating another VLAN. We've tried using VDistributed switches as well as creating a standard switch for each VM and hooking an uplink to it that way, neither produce communications successes.
All of the VM's are Windows based with staticly assigned IP's that cannot be changed (we're emulating an operational environment in this lab, so we want the IP's to stay the same). Each Physical port on the hardware platform is connected to a port on our ISR.
