Vmware fusion2

Dear Sir,

I have purchased VM ware fusion2 for my Apple Mac to run Window XP, I also installed but it's still not

works for me, I am keep getting message that:

NO BOOTABLE DEVICE WAS DETECTED:

A BOOTABLE DEVICE MIGHT BE CD FLOPPY HARD DISC.NET WORK DEVICE AS WHEN PXE

TO INSTALL AN OPERATING SYSTEM INSERT INSERT CD OR FLOPPY AND RESTART THE VIRTUAL MACHINE.

Above message keep coming on my screen and I can't use Window XP side by side.

Please help me what should do? I hope I didn't loose my money to buying VM ware fusion 2

I am very confusion between VM ware fusion2 and Virtual machine.

Thanks

Deepak

Re: Vmware fusion2

Hello Deepak

I can't tell from your post but it looks like you need to install Windows XP as well.

VMWare Fusion is a program that allows you to install other operating systems on your Mac, it is NOT a copy of Windows itself (unlike VirtualPC if you used that a few years ago).

Make sure that Fusion has access to your DVD Drive (check the preferences) and then insert the WinXP installation DVD. You may need to re-boot Fusion but then Windows should install.

The best place to get support for questions like this is http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/support.html

Good luck

John
