Coraid AoE with VMWare

Can't Coraid be used under ESX using NFS shares for virtual machine disks?  If so, is there any degradation in performance?

Re: Coraid AoE with VMWare

ESX can indeed use AoE in this proxied fashion if the NFS server is running on a platform that supports AoE.  There are performance hits for using  TCP/IP and the NFS protocol itself that vary depending on how robust the NFS server is.  Coraid's EtherDrive HBA will provide the ESX user the levels of performance to which AoE users have come accustomed.
