New user with a major problem

I just upgraded to the latest Fusion and now am having nothing but problems. The latest is the inability to take a snapshot. I tried this am and got the following error message "Error taking snapshot: Error encountered while saving snapshot file "/Users/morrie/Desktop/Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm/Windows XP Professional-Snapshot4.vmsn".

Failed to lock the file.."

Can anybody out there tell me how to fix this.

Hi Morrie

I may have seen this before, In the folder that contains your VMDK file, check to see if there is an LCK file. Try removing this. (because I don't know your setup I suggest just moving it somewhere else before deleting it, unless you feel comfortable you'll never need it. all it is is a lock file on your VMDK file.)

My problem was an inability to start up a VM but the error message is the same.

Thanks.
