Unable to connect USB device to the virtual machine

Please help I was unable to connect USB device "Prolific USB-Serial Controller C" to the virtual machine (error code 4).

I think your usb device may be damaged by improper use, such as directly remove it from your computer, or power off the virtual machine while the usb device is still connected. Keep in mind that improper operation in virtual machine may harm any device when those devices are 'physically' connected ...
