ThinApp + Microsoft Office Groove 2007


I'm trying to virtualize groove 2007 in a thinapp bubble. It would be great for a test environment to run Groove with user only rights from an USB stick/hdd.

I tried several things, but to no avail. Office 2007 is running fine with ThinApp. No real problems there. I just don't see why groove has issues...

My setup is as follows:

  • VMWare workstation with XP Pro SP2 + patches (no IE7, no SP3)
  • ThinApp 4.0.0 -2200 (60day trial)

I'm snapshotting before installation of groove. Merged bubbles or Isolated bubbles don't make a difference. No of them work.

I will try to install office2007 AND groove now and put them in the same bubble. It might work.

If you have some comments, suggestions, questions, please let me know.

I am trying to do the same thing... have you had any luck. I am currently building the whole of Office 2007, but it would be nice to have Groove 2007 independent
