I'm experiencing the same thing and can't get around it. The only other thing that I've noticed is that when I sign in it always gives me a link in my similar or buddy list that is to another profile of myself which I cannot use to log into vmworld, but I can use to log into the vmware site.
When I go and fill out the form from the contact us link, I get no response and the other link that's provided on that page gives me a 404 page not found.
It is unfortunate that they are not giving us some point of contact to rectify this situation. I hope that they will contact us via this thread and try to bring some resolution to the problem.
I am also having the same issue.
Have e-mailed the support folks - but have had nothing back so far ![]()
Hi Joao, Mark, Paul and to any VMworld 2008 attendees who read this thread,
Many attendees have reported issues with a intermittent bug that we are working to resolve. What seems to be happening is when attendees click to view VMworld 2008 contentand then sign in "after this"the restricted access notice is returned. Try going back to www.vmworld.com/community/sessions/2008/ and reloading your browser to be sure you are signed in with the same username/password used for VMworld 2008. Then click to "view" content again. This seems to correct the account caching issue for most attendees.
To avoid this issue, be sure to sign in prior to clicking to view VMworld 2008 sessions and labs. If additional access issues occur for anyone who attended VMworld 2008, be sure you are using your correct username/password from the conference (some people have multiple accounts).
Sorry for any inconvenience and stay tuned for additional features, content and improvements coming to VMworld.com soon.
Cheers,
~Tony
I am having problems accessing the keynote sessions from Martiz and Herrod. These are the ones specifically hosted by on24. The browser keeps sending me back to a registration page (even though I have already registered and logged in). FYI, I am not having any problems accessing the other sessions/labs (which require the vmworld username/password). Any guidance/help is much appreciated.

Confirmed personally that the content "authorization required" bug still exists as of today, 10/20/08.
Frustrating that it's complaining that you need to be a registered attendee, yet if their back-end database was working properly, they would have seen that we are all registered attendees.
PLEASE FIX THIS BUG IN YOUR WEBSITE, VMWARE!!

And still this is not working.
Come on guys - we paid a lot of money for the conference - don't you think this should get a little more priority please
Thanks
I receive the same error. I also have tried coming in from different pages.
Same here; I wonder if anybody came through?
