AD lower down the forest

From the articles i have been reading it is my assumption if you are going to virtualize a new domain in a forest you would not have to worry about the time service. This would be because the root of the forest would have a good time source that you could use(hopefully the root pdc has good time source)

Is this a correct assumption?

Dwayne,

You would be correct in your assumptions. However, it is a best practice to configure the Forest PDC Emulator as your primary time source for the domain. Check out PO1323 - Best Practices for Virtualizing Active Directory.
