Anyone know when the sessions will be made public so we can watch them on-line? I have a couple I would to go over again.

Re: Sessions made public

Sessions should be made available to VMworld 2008 attendees by the end of this week.

Re: Sessions made public
VMworld 2008 Sessions & Labs will be made available this week. All paid attendees of VMworld 2008 will be able to view flash videos (audio over slides) of the breakout sessions, download PDFs or listen to MP3 podcasts. PDFs only will be made available for manuals and presentations from hands-on labs.

The last line has me worried. I hope I am able to download the slides from the sessions I went to because in every session i was told i would be able to and i did not need to take notes on every command.

I agree totally. We need pdf versions for all presentations. It is not possible to navigate through the audio every time we will look for an information

Re: Sessions made public
All that line means is the only PDF's will be available for labs as they do not do audio recordings for them, just like last year. Usually the PDFs for the labs included both the slides and the lab material. For all the other sessions you have the option to view the flash video of the audio and slides together or download the PDF and/or MP3 for the session.

Re: Sessions made public

Yes, just as Eric has described, all breakout sessions will offer PDFs, MP3 podcasts AND streaming flash presentations (audio over slides). Labs will offer PDFs of the manuals and presentations (some have additional lab exercises and scripts). But the labs will not come with streaming flash presentations.

As an added bonus, all attendees will get access to all sponsor keynotes as PDFs, MP3s and streaming flash presentations as well.

Check the site Friday for the release of this content.

Cheers,
~Tony

Re: Sessions made public

Well it is 10/3 and its 4:45pm on the East Coast. If I had known I would lose this much time I would have taken those notes. I am not happy because i need to get some of these changes into production and this weekend was my window. Now I lost the chance to do the work because for some reason it takes two weeks to upload files that were used at the event.

Come on VMware. This is as much a part of the fee for the event as any other part.

GIVE ME MY SLIDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sessions made public

VMware is on PST and it is only 2:00pm there, if you really need session slides right away just go to the session catalog and download them.

Login here:

Go to "Session catalog" and there's a column called "Session Files"

And for some reason, my accoutn doesn't have access. :-( I'm using the same account that I used to register for VMworld 2008 but it tells me access is for paid attendees only.
