Flying Orange T-Shirts

For those of you who showed up to try to win the Segway at a certain booth will know what I am talking about.  They handed out these orange shirts when you signed up for their drawing for a Segway and said you had to be present Thursday at 2:00 pm wearing your shirt to win.  When everyone showed up they kept emphasizing that you had to be wearing a shirt and were telling people to put them on.  Then when they drew the person's name for the Segway he wasn't wearing the shirt.  The crowd starting booing him so he tried to start putting his shirt on.  The crowd yelled together at the company representatives to draw another name since he didn't follow the rules.  Despite much booing and crowd outrage the company respresentatives decided to break the rules they had repeated over and over and give the guy the Segway.  The crowd was furious.  Then immediately you saw about 90% of the people in the crowd take off their shirts and throw them at the Falconstor booth.  It was the funniest sight ever seeing so many orange t-shirts flying through the air.  Talk about marketing dollars down the drain.

Awesome! The remaining 10% that kept the t-shirt should also mail it in as a Christmas gift!  Can't believe I missed that drawing & near riot- it would have been perfect YouTube material.

BTW, anyone have an addres?

Still cannot believe they gave away that segway to a guy wearing no ugly orange shirt.  Bad Bad Bad should of told the guy he is out and move on..Instead they lost alot of potential customers! And the bad press too!! Anybody have a video clip of the event??

Yeah, what was the logic behind that decision?  We could tick off one guy who wasn't following the rules or we could piss off an entire crowd of potential customers. Hmmmmm.  Let's think about this one.  Angry mob it is! ~Jason

Re: Flying Orange T-Shirts

I mailed my shirt to Wendy Petty the VP of sales with a copy of the original post to this blog. I remembered to wish her a Merry Christmas. It was only $2.02 by USPS so it was pretty cheap for the gritification I recieved.

Lets keet those t-shirts "flying"
