Re: VMWorld 2008 Las Vegas Party Thread

Unisys, a silver sponsor, is hosting a special client hospitality reception Sept. 16. Space is limited, so make sure attendees visit our booth early to pick up a pass.

And in par with Unisys marketing, the theme is top secret, so I don't even know what it will be like. :)

Enjoy!

Re: VMWorld 2008 Las Vegas Party Thread
Don't forget about the roller coaster at NYNY. It is a rush, and at the same hotel as the Tuesday night party.

And I would not be a honorable ambassador to Las Vegas if I did not mention Freemont Street at Downtown Las Vegas. You will have to take a cab to get down there. But it is totally worth the time to get down there, just go at night when the show is scheduled. And find the place that has fried Oreo's. They are to die for.

I was going to mention the Star Trek Experience at the LV Hilton, but just discovered it closed on September 1.

Finally, you will want to check out the fountain in front of the Bellagio at night.

Re: VMWorld 2008 Las Vegas Party Thread

Any news on this driving event at the VMworld party? I would really like to get the chance to drive one on the racecars as I love tracking.

How do I sign up? Do I register anywhere or do I just have to get into a line when I get there?

Re: VMWorld 2008 Las Vegas Party Thread

I checked with VMWare and they said my son (8 yr old) will need to pay $1700 if he want to join me there. That sounds wiered....but the said as long as he carries a pass he can go. So any kind sole there who will not go to the speedway could share the pass for the evening? Many thanks.

Re: VMWorld 2008 Las Vegas Party Thread

schedule builder has the busses listed as sessions in the hours leading up to the party, as usual the early bus trips were already full by yesterday.

the later buses eat into your time at the track.

seems im going to be there 15 mins after it starts

Re: VMWorld 2008 Las Vegas Party Thread
Pit Crew Pass buses leave between 4:45pm to 5:15pm. Hopefully the pit crew badge is all that is needed that I got during registration. If not I guess I will be back on the strip looking for more parties. Anyone else get one of the orange RSVP pit crew passes? Not sure how I got it...must have bought something good this year from VMWare I guess.
