Been by the Venitian and already registered!

Look for the Sands conference center through the casino.   Or ask someone!  (I know, guys don't like to ask for directions... hehe)

Looks like the main floor will not open until tomorrow. Going to check out partner vendors...now if I can remember who we partner with.

Sorry, man, but the bag looks like crap.  Is it just a disadvantageous photograph, or has VMworld really found something inferior to the man-purse they passed out last year?

Really, the bag is nice enough.  It has pockets for stuff, hidden pockets, etc.  The really strange thing is no velcro or latch for closing the bag, though, so the flap is just hanging loose.  Kind of weird.

Re: Let the SWAG begin!

It seems to me that the bags are not really improving over the years....

The one from VMworld Europe last year was my personnel best.

VMware needs to take a page from the Citrix playbook. They have given out some great backpacks in the past, like the one below. In fact I'm seen a bunch of attendees walking around with them today.

And the MS Tech-Ed bags have generally been great.  I still use the one from 2002, and this year's was quite ample.  About the same proportions as the cool-looking Citrix bag above.
