Laptop bag?

When you check in at registration, do you get a bag for  your laptop like at TechEd?  Just trying to decide if I need to bring one.

Re: Laptop bag?

Good question!

I will be forced to bring one to make the trip out, but more SWAG is always appreciated.

Re: Laptop bag?

Last year at VMworld 2007 San Francisco, we did get nice backpacks that you could slip a notebook into.  Hopefully someone can authoritatively state whether there will be backpacks or not this year...I don't want to bring one only to end up with another one that has to be checked separately or stuffed into another piece of luggage.

Re: Laptop bag?

Not a bad idea...although I'm from Canuckistan, so shipping a box home will not only take much longer, but might even cost more than paying the airline for a second checked item.   Last year, two checked bags were allowed for free so I stuffed as much swag as I could into the backpack.

Re: Laptop bag?

I haven't thought about mailing my dirty clothes home since college. Good idea though. The bag from last year was ok, but a little small for my Toshiba. I am sure there will be some sort of bag, but maybe a shopping cart would be better for holding all the swag. Looks to be alot this year, but why not with 14,000 people coming.
