Jeans, corporate casual?? LOL..forget that noise!! It's Vegas and it will be hot...shorts and a T-shirt -- but nice shorts and T-shirts ![]()
According the the Registration FAQ:
Business casual attire is appropriate for attending general and breakout sessions. For the VMworld party, casual attire is recommended. Bring a sweater or jacket, as session rooms at the Convention Center can be cool.
I'm wondering if past VMworld attendees have ideas regarding clothing. Other conferences I have attended had the same clothing suggestion, but the vast majority of attendees were in more casual attire.
I agree with Curtis that it is Vegas and will be hot. The extended forecast shows highs in the upper 90s with lows in the 70s. Hopefully the forecast changes - now it says we might have scattered thunderstorms Wednesday (VMworld party).
Okay so what EXACTLY is business casual as opposed to just casual?
Collar vs. T-Shirt, Slacks vs. Jeans, Leather shoes vs. Tennis shoes. Get it? Got it? Good! ![]()
Pretty straightforward, thanks. However the pics from previous conferences are quite misleading.
I completly agree, I was in San Francisco last year and people definitely dressed "casual". Business casual is recommended, but you will not be out of place in Jeans and a T-Shirt (especially if it's a free one you get from a vendor)
I am packing 3-4 VMware t-shirts and wearing them with jeans/capris at the conference. That's how I usually dress for MS TechEd and I never feel out of place.
I got some an awesome hyper-v tshirt that i got from teched, gonna wear that daily.
I wore jeans, t-shirt or pullover and tennis shoes last year and that worked just fine. Except late night on the water. However; being Vegas I don't see that, but could have used a long sleeve shirt in some of the sessions, like an ice box. I am wearing same thing this year especially if the bean bags are back and I am on the floor alot. Yeh I will be wearing vendor shirts also so I can try and win free stuff, swag, swag, sway, lol.
