Data on Energy usage interesting..

I enjoyed the charts showing energy usage... especially the 2011 energy usage. Does this factor in reduction expected due to virtualization savings?

DOE Data Center Energy Efficiency Program

 

 

This is the Depart of Energy's take using the historical trend.  They are hoping that voluntary measures will slow the agressive growth rate of energy consumption.  Check out the preceding link scrolling forward to page 6 for a more detailed description.

Thanks Larry,

 

 

This was a very cool presentation, I learned a few things.. as we plan on adopting virtualization and have been thinking more seriously about storage considerations.

Thank you Paul,

 

 

Spreading the word about server and storage virtualization is where it is all about.  Saving money and effort while going green is always a good place to go.
