Yes, your conference badge is required for entry into the conference. Please be aware that you will be asked for valid photo identification at registration before receiving a conference badge. What if I lose my badge?
Go to a registration Assisted Check-in desk and have your badge reprinted. You will be required to show photo identification and pay $75 badge replacement fee. Do I need a visa to attend the conference?
There are a few countries that require a visa for entry. We recommend checking in advance with your country's local US consulate. How do I obtain a visa invitation letter?
During the registration process you will be asked if you require a visa letter. In order to request a visa letter from the VMworld team, please be prepared to provide the following information:
- Full Name on Passport
- Date of Birth
- Place of Birth
- Gender [Male, Female]
- Passport Number
- Place of Issue
- Date of Issue
- Date of Expiration
- Are you a Government Official [Yes, No]
Visa invitation letters will be submitted for approval for those attendees that have requested a visa invite letter and have completed registration data for a Full Conference pass including payment. Please note we can only issue visa letters for fully paid attendees and you will need to allow 2-3 weeks’ time for your embassy to process your request. Visa letter requests will not be accepted after August 1, 2015. Can I be denied registration for any reason?
VMware reserves the right to deny registration to any individual or entity for any reason, at VMware's sole discretion, including past or present failure to meet VMware's standards of conduct, and also including but not limited to, engaging in violent, illegal, threatening or discriminatory conduct. Are guests permitted to attend?
Attendees are permitted to register one guest who is 21 years of age or older. The Guest Pass fee is $300 and only allows registered guests entry to the VMworld Welcome Reception and the VMworld Party. The Guest Pass does not include access to Breakout Sessions, General Sessions, Hands-on Labs, continental breakfast, lunch, or any other activities that are reserved for attendees with Full Conference passes. Guest passes can be purchased during online registration or onsite at the conference registration desk. Where do I pick up my badge?
Please pick up your badge at the VMworld 2015 – Moscone West registration desk during open registration hours. For security purposes, be prepared to show identification. Can I register for both VMworld US and Europe?
Registration for each event is separate, and you will need to register and pay for each event independently. Are there any discounts for large groups?
Yes, there is a Group (5+) Discount. If you purchase five (5) or more Full Conference registration passes at the same time you will automatically receive a $100 discount per registration. To register a large group, you will be required to purchase a minimum of five (5) Full Conference passes using one (1) credit card in a single transaction. At the time of purchase you will receive, via email, a unique registration code that you can distribute to the individuals in your group. Each individual will be required to enter this group registration code as they begin their registration process.
There is also a Group (20+) Discount. If you purchase twenty (20) or more Full Conference registration passes at the same time you will automatically receive a $200 discount per registration. To register a large group, you will be required to purchase a minimum of twenty (20) Full Conference passes using one (1) credit card in a single transaction. Each individual will be required to enter this group registration code as they begin their registration process. What are the requirements for the academic registration?
Registrant must use an academic email domain as their VMworld email address. Proof of your academic standing will be required when you check in on-site. Students must bring a copy of their class schedule showing 12 units or credits and a valid student ID. Full-time professors must bring a valid, accredited university ID. Failure to produce proof of your academic status will result in a charge of the on-site Full Conference registration fee of $2,195.
The title of Instructor, Faculty or Professor, qualifies you for the academic rate. IS/or Systems employees from a university do not qualify for academic rate. What are the requirements for a government discount?
The Government discount applies to the Full Conference package only. Government discounts cannot be extended to non-profits.
Current full-time employees of US federal, state or local government agencies will receive $300 off “Full Conference Pass” registration fees for VMworld 2015.
To qualify for the discount, you must use your government email domain as your VMworld email address, and show your current, valid government identification card during registration check-in. If you are unable to provide identification, you will be charged the on-site Conference Pass registration rate of $2,195.
The government discount cannot be combined with any other discount offers. Government contractors, including contractors working on government “Cost Reimbursable Contracts”, are not eligible for the government discount.
