Session Abstract: | Within this session the VMware administrator that wears many hats in small to medium-sized organizations will be provided with specific strategies and tools that are applicable in these sized environments. Tips and Tricks will be covered for configuring hosts, vCenter design, creating and managing templates, optimizing storage performance, using PowerShell and Perl to get important information, automate repetitive tasks and much more. In addition, a library of valuable resources of practical hands-on information is provided to the administrator in these environments to supplement the core topics covered during the session. All of the strategies and tools presented are all proven and deployed in the production environment of California's Sacramento County (Public Sector). This session is by administrators for administrators, looking for solid practical information to enable them to free up time for other tasks that need their attention. |
