Session ID:

Session Title:

Virtual Center: Troubleshooting Unleashed

Session Abstract:

This session will showcase some of the common issues that users can run into with VMware vCenter Server, give guidance to help identify these problems and suggest some simple workarounds to overcome these.
Some examples include:
1) Identifying problems with third party tools that vCenter Server interacts with like Microsoft Active Directory server and Database servers
2) Operations such as Delete snapshots taking a very long time causing ESX hosts to disconnect from the vCenter Server
3) vCenter server and Host Agent crash/hang.
For these examples, symptoms and other information that will help in debugging the problem will be presented along with any possible workarounds. The examples in this session are based on the issues that the VMware Continuous Product Development (CPD) team for vCenter Server has worked on. After attending this session, users of vCenter Server will be able to gather the appropriate information for typical problems so that Support can assist better with shorter turnaround times.
