Session Title:

Datacenter Consolidation and Migration with VMware Site Recovery Manager

Session Abstract:

In today's every changing environment the need to even further consolidate has become more of a challenge. Where we started with physical server consolidation within a single datacenter, it has now grown into datacenter consolidation of multiple sites or even simple datacenter migrations to newer more efficient sites. VMware has become an important tool to help facilitate these types of projects over the past few months.
In this session we will review the "old way" of trying to manage these monolithic projects and the "new way" using VMware virtualization as the key component. We will examine a real customer case study, as well as introduce the use of vCenter Site Recovery Manager as a tool of choice. We will also see the more simple one to one migrations as well as a possible reference architecture for a multiple site consolidation.
