Session Abstract: | Virtualization technologies are altering the IT landscape, enabling enterprises to lower costs, simplify infrastructure, and manage more resources with fewer people. At the same time virtualization is delivering on its promise to increase responsiveness to business needs and deliver higher service levels for all application tiers. Symmetrix V-Max is the first and only high end storage platform purpose built for the virtual data center, enabling storage resources to be efficiently and economically planned, implemented and managed. This session describes how the virtual matrix architecture delivers unprecedented scale and efficiency, and introduces the new Symmetrix V-Max platform, along with automation capabilities that provide the highest levels of integration with virtualization solutions like VMware vSphere. Future trends, including Fully Automated Storage Tiering, will also be presented. |
