Session ID:

TA4242

Session Title:

Securing the Virtual Data Center in Enterprises and Clouds

Session Abstract:

As virtualization has become mainstream, people have started adapting traditional security tools to work within the parameters of this new environment, such as unified hardware resource pools, highly dynamic workload lifecycles, and virtualized networking. This panel will address the security and compliance needs of the Virtual Data Center, as these evolve within enterprises, and migrate to the Cloud. The next generation of tools will go beyond just replicating existing approaches from the physical world and provide security assurances that take advantage of the unique capabilities of virtualization, such as hypervisor introspection, combined perspective of all virtual resources, automatic creation of security trust zones, and a centralized vantage point. Join technology leaders from companies such as VMware and RSA, as they discuss their vision for virtual datacenter security.
