Session Title: | Implementing VMware vSphere 4.0 with HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 technology |
Session Abstract: | With HP's new Virtual Connect Flex-10 technology, virtualization in a blade server environment has gained enhanced networking flexibility. This presentation will provide an overview of implementing HP's Virtual Connect Flex-10 technology with VMware vSphere 4.0. HP Virtual Connect creates a virtual I/O layer between physical servers and networks, allowing flexibility of the networking layer serving as the foundation for a virtualized infrastructure. HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 is able to flexibly allocate the bandwidth of a 10Gb Ethernet network port across four physical NIC connections in an HP ProLiant blade server. You will learn how HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 works, the advantages of Virtual Connect in a VMware environment, and best practices such as typical site requirements and configuration recommendations. |
