This session will provide real world example and best practices for implementing and managing an SAP environment virtualized on VMware Infrastructure. Hear from real customer case studies on how they leveraged VMware and EMC infrastructure to move quickly from proof of concept to production and the lessons learned along the way. Learn the technical details of EMC and VMware tested solutions and best practices including data protection, backup, deduplication, and disaster recovery. Learn how customers are leveraging these solutions today to virtualize their SAP environments. View live demonstrations given by EMC and ADDON staff.
This breakout will cover best practices from customers, EMC´s eLAB and the "Virtualize Competence Center SAP" powered by VMware. EMC´s portfolio extend SAP production environment running on VMware Infrastructure covering application consistent Snap's for Test, Dev and Backup purposes. Implementing Disaster Recovery with VMware SRM and optimizing Backup with source based Deduplication leveraging EMC´s AVAMAR.
