Session Title:

How to create a rich VDI environment with Wyse Thin Computing

Session Abstract:

Jeff McNaught will share how Wyse VDI-optimized client devices deliver an optimal green IT solution, using 85-90 percent less energy than a PC, while providing the richest user experience to date. This computing option eliminates client complexity, and can be centrally managed from anywhere in the world. It also offers new levels of security by eliminating the need for local OS or user data at the client itself, easing issues around compliance, data protection and privacy.
Wyse will address and describe:
- Customer feedback on cost and ROI elements of Thin Computing
- Mobile and Desktop client devices designed for VDI installations
- How these devices cleanly integrate with VMware technologies such as VDM
- Centralized management options enabling thousands of devices to be managed from one or several locations
- Breakthrough technology that expands the capability of connection protocols, offering enhanced capabilities: use of multiple displays; rich, smooth multimedia and applications; support for locally installed USB peripherals with drivers virtualized to the VDI VM
