Session ID:

TA3721

Session Title:

Optimized Virtual Desktop for Performance, Security, Availability, Scalability and Manageability

Session Abstract:

This session will provide information on the challenges of delivering a virtualized desktop environment to a remote location and how to overcome them with the use of an application delivery network.
The challenge — Problems with the inefficient protocols employed in a remote desktop solution are exacerbated when used across a WAN, especially when combined with higher latency and lower bandwidth at the edge of the network.
The solution — Through the use of Cisco's WAN optimization and server offload technologies, learn how you can accelerate your virtual desktop and datacenter applications across the WAN and enable the consolidation of servers, storage and backups.  You can continue to deliver performance, security, availability and scalability to the end user while maintaining a manageable system.
