Session Abstract:

The Lockheed Martin Competency Center model uses virtualization technologies to provide an environment for development, experimentation and testing of conceptual solutions and expanded uses of SOA technology. The center is a federated sharing environment for SOA activities, skills, and knowledge for agile delivery of SOA capabilities across our clients business. The use of virtualization technologies enhances the Competency Center ability to provide shared resources, increase SOA adoption, and use experimentation to develop business in adjacent markets. This session will describe how the SOA Competency Center model simplifies and accelerates the process of designing applications based on service-oriented architecture, while providing a prototyping and rapid integration environment.

Speaker 1:

Curt Aubley is responsible for leading the creation of large scale next generation infrastructure and service management solutions for Lockheed Martin IS&GS customers. In addition to his expertise in designing and deploying Virtualization solutions, Aubley leads Lockheed Martin's NexGen Innovation and vendor technology evaluation team which investigates next generation customer-focused solution innovations. He holds a multitude of technology certifications including CISSP & MSCE and received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. He also completed computer engineering graduation work while attending the Air Force Institute of Technology. Aubley has more than 20 years of technology and leadership experience and is an author publishing two books on computer performance, and various articles, papers, on a variety of technology subjects including open source, Linux, UNIX, Windows, Performance, Service Level Agreement Management, and Agile Engineering.
