Session Title:

How to Implement a Cost Visibility and Chargeback Process Using the Resource Consumption Model

Session Abstract:

Many organizations recognize the need for chargeback as they virtualize their infrastructures, but simply do not know where to start.
In the new virtual data center where all hardware is shared, IT needs to develop new ways to report on and account for the usage of shared resources (CPU, memory, storage, network, etc.). Without cost visibility, it is impossible to put in place the financial controls necessary to implement virtualization effectively.
This workshop will walk you through a step-by-step approach for implementing chargeback and gaining cost visibility in as little as a day.
