Session Title:

Re-architecting Data Protection Processes with Data Deduplication and Virtualization Technologies

Session Abstract:

Both conceptually and in terms of tangible benefits, Data De-duplication and Server Virtualization technologies share many common threads. With respective benefits that include cost reduction, improved asset utilization, reduced management and reduction of footprint, power and cooling requirements, it's no wonder why they are literally the top two technologies on IT Managers' lists for implementation. This session explores the changes in storage requirements that are an outgrowth of server virtualization implementation, and the efficiencies that can be achieved by deployment of both technologies as it relates to enterprise level backup and DR practices.
