Symantec Backup Exec and VMware engineering teams have come together to deliver a new level of virtual data protection with VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB) integration, designed for the mid-size enterprise. Whether backing up to disk or tape, there is now a cost efficient backup and recovery solution that provides automated off-host backup of your online virtual machines that allows IT administrators to quickly restore individual files from an image-level backup.
This presentation will discuss unique challenges that exist when protecting and recovering a VMware environment alongside their traditional physical environments, as well as best practices and implementation approaches to resolve those challenges.
