Virtualizing Exchange 2007 - The Final Frontier?Presenter:
DellMicrosoft Exchange Server 2007 is one of those really large apps that has often been classified as not a good candidate for virtualization, but with the new capabilities in ESX Server 3.0 with 4-way Virtual SMP and 16 GB RAM per VM, things are beginning to look different. The focal point in driving proper resource planning for virtual machine deployments is developing a proper baseline - a reference architecture. This session will discuss a reference architecture for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 VMs by examining the behavior of Exchange 2007 on ESX Server, basic sizing guidelines, and how Exchange 2007 VMs fit into the rest of the virtual infrastructure.
